Internal Complaint Committee
About
The Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) is operating in accordance with the UGC (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women Employees and Students in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2015. The committee acts as a Special Cell in their respective institutions to address gender-based violence and organize gender sensitization programs. The committee’s primary responsibility is to investigate and resolve any complaints of sexual harassment from female employees and students, as well as provide them with support and guidance.
Activities
The college has implemented an anti-sexual harassment policy in compliance with the UGC (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women Employees and Students in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2015. The policy aims to create a safe and inclusive environment for students and staff by preventing and addressing incidents of sexual harassment. The policy also ensures strict confidentiality, protection against retaliation, and provides support services for the victim.

Grievance Redressal Committee
About
The Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC) at Amal College of Advanced Studies, Nilambur, plays a vital role in addressing individual student grievances. Upon receiving complaints, the committee assesses each case, mediates when necessary, and commits to resolving issues within fifteen days. Regular reports are provided to higher authorities, ensuring transparency and seeking guidance when needed. The GRC safeguards the interests of all stakeholders by actively engaging in fair and prompt grievance redressal.
Activities
The GRC at Amal College efficiently manages grievances received via online and in person, employing a standardized protocol for prompt resolution. Through awareness campaigns, the committee educates the college community on the grievance redressal mechanism. Collaborating with committees such as Anti-Ragging, Women’s Grievance Redressal, and Internal Complaints, the GRC ensures a coordinated effort for the timely and effective resolution of all issues raised by students and faculty members.

Anti-ragging Cell
About
The main objective of the anti-ragging cell is to provide a safe and secure environment for all the students, and to ensure that there is no physical, emotional, or mental harm inflicted on anyone by means of ragging. The cell works closely with the management, staff, and students to create awareness about the harmful effects of ragging and to promote a healthy and positive atmosphere on campus. It also investigates any complaints related to ragging and takes strict action against the perpetrators.
Activities
The anti-ragging policy is strictly enforced in colleges and students found to have engaged in any form of ragging are subject to disciplinary action, which may include suspension, rustication or even expulsion. The college administration is committed to providing a safe and conducive environment for students to pursue their education and achieve their goals without any fear of harassment or intimidation.

The SEDG Cell organizes orientation and mentorship programs, provides guidance on scholarships and government schemes, and arranges remedial classes for academic support. It conducts financial literacy sessions, career counseling, and soft skills training for capacity building. The cell facilitates peer support networks, hosts motivational talks by achievers from disadvantaged backgrounds, collaborates with NGOs and government agencies, and gathers feedback to continuously improve its support mechanisms and inclusivity efforts for underprivileged students.
