Resources to support learning and research

Amal College of Advanced Studies’ Library and Resource Center, a professionally organized and managed space dedicated to promoting academic excellence and providing students with a wide range of resources to support their learning and research.

Our library is divided into various sections, including circulation, newspaper reading, digital library corner, general reading area, periodicals, catalogues, reference reading, book banks, and online access services. We are committed to offering a well-rounded collection of materials that cover a wide range of topics and disciplines.

Our collection includes over 13,000 books, 50+ periodicals, 10+ newspapers, 30 Lakh+ e-books, and 6000+ e-journals, which are carefully curated to meet the needs of our students and faculty. Our online services for book search make it easy for students to find the materials they need quickly.

We have implemented computerization to enable fast and efficient services to our students, and our library staff is always available to provide guidance and support.

Amal Library offers research students access to online theses, as well as subscriptions to INFLIBNET N-List, EPG Pathasala, Soudh Ganga, and Soudh Gangotri for their literature review and theoretical framework..

Career Mentoring

Amal Library provides individual career mentoring to students based on changing demand conditions and prospects in the global context, helping to meet the needs of those who require additional support.

Remote Access

Our library offers remote access for teachers and students to search and book available collections in advance, making it easier for them to access materials when they need them. 

Database Subscription

Access to databases such as Springer, Elsevier, JSTOR, and Oxtorol are provided by our library to promote in-depth research among the academic community.

Library Rules

    • Identity card is compulsory for getting access to the Library
    • Silence to be maintained
    • No discussion permitted inside the Library
    • No Personal belongings allowed inside the library
    • Text books, Printed materials and issued books are not allowed to be taken inside the Library
    • Using mobile phone and audio instruments with or without speaker or head phone is strictly prohibitedin the library premises
    • Enter your name and signature at the entrance counter before entering library
    • The Librarian may recall any book from any member at any time and the member shall return the same immediately
    • The issued books will have to be returned within a period of 14 days and on the fourteenth day, if needed, the student will get an extension of another 14 days Working Hours of the Library Monday to Saturday 8.30 AM to 5.30 PM
    • Materials borrowed should be returned on or before due date stamped, if returned late overdue fine will be charged for the delayed period (Rs.1/Day)
    • If the books are lost, then the borrower shall replace the books of the same edition or latest edition or pay double cost of the book after getting permission from the Librarian.
    • Each students/Staff shall obtain No dues certificate from the Library after returning all the books issued and after paying outstanding dues, if any.

Our extensive collection is easily accessible through e-catalogs, allowing students to quickly locate required texts and authors.

Question Bank

Digital copies of past question papers are available for reference at our library.

Video resources

We continuously update our YouTube video library with resourceful talks and lessons for our audience.

Help materials

We create self-help texts and videos to assist students in utilizing the library’s facilities to their full potential.
