Amal College’s NSS, in collaboration with PVS Charitable Trust and Vazhikkadav Grama Panchayath, constructed a house for Ms. Anjitha, a BA English student facing economic struggles. The project aimed to provide secure housing, raise awareness about housing security, and promote community involvement in welfare. The House Warming Ceremony on August 18, 2022, celebrated the completion, attended by hundreds of NSS volunteers. Major interventions included fund mobilization, physical labor, and voluntary exchanges. The outcome: a stable home for Anjitha, addressing her immediate need. This initiative not only transformed lives but also integrated social work into the college curriculum, fostering a sense of societal responsibility.
