The Department of Commerce at Amal College of Advanced Studies, under the banner of the Amal College Commerce Association, celebrated International MSME Day with great enthusiasm. The highlight of the event was a student-created vlog featuring interviews with local micro and small entrepreneurs, which was screened during the celebration.
Dr. Shemeer Babu T, the Principal of Amal College, inaugurated the event. Dr. Shihabudheen N, the IQAC Coordinator, offered felicitations, and Dr. Umesh U, Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce, delivered the welcome address.
The initiative was coordinated and mentored by Dr. Abbas Vattoli, who guided the final year B.Com students in their project. The students—Nihal K, Misriya Sherin, Jaseer K, Rohan, and Fidha M—were actively involved in the video shooting and editing process. During the event, they shared their enriching experiences of interacting with the MSME entrepreneurs, inspiring their peers to learn more about the micro, small, and medium enterprise sector.
The screening of the vlog was met with great interest, providing a platform for the students to showcase their hard work and the compelling stories of the entrepreneurs. The event, attended by 40 students, succeeded in its goal of highlighting the significance of MSMEs and motivating the audience to explore this crucial sector further.
