In July 2022, Amal College of Advanced Studies, Nilambur, hosted a one-day workshop and extension program on the Abacus Brain Development Program. This event was organized jointly by the Departments of Mathematics and Physics, the ED Club, and in collaboration with B Smart Abacus.
The workshop was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. Zacaria TV, with renowned mentor and international trainer, Madhusudhanan Pillai, serving as the resource person. Dr. Ahamed Raseen Nanakkal, the Head of the Department, delivered the presidential address, while Saikrishna, a faculty member from the Mathematics and Physics Department, welcomed the attendees. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Fasna, a student.
A total of 18 college students and 5 community members from nearby wards participated in this enriching program, aimed at enhancing cognitive skills through abacus training.
